Our mission and our vision

Our mission is to promote safe, economic and environmentally sustainable development in the geotechnical field. We provide research, advisory services and convey knowledge in order to streamline ground construction.

We have national responsibility for research, the development of technology and knowledge for remediation and restoration of contaminated sites. We are working to increase the rate of remediation and raise awareness.

We participate in different types of collaboration, both nationally and internationally, where we aim to improve society's ability to adapt to a changing climate. We also conduct our own research

Geographic Information System is an important part of our work. We carry out GIS-analyses, 3D-modeling, systems engineering and more. We display data on landslides, erosion, stability, vulnerability and risk in present and future climate conditions in different map viewing services
